Three centuries at the water's edge
The Lord Raglan is an 18th century pub tucked away on Queen Street, its garden backing straight onto the moorings of Slipper Mill Pond. Step through the door and you will find low ceilings, a real fire, a dartboard, and a bar known locally for keeping its ale properly.
The pub takes its name from Lord Raglan, a trusted member of Wellington's staff who was injured at the Battle of Waterloo and later became Commander in Chief during the Crimean War.
With Goodwood and Fontwell both nearby we are a favourite with racegoers, and everyone is welcome here: children, muddy walkers fresh off the shoreline path, and dogs most of all.
